MSF teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff – bound together by our charter. MSF actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality. MSF is a non-profit, self-governed, member-based Organisation and was founded in 1971 in Paris by a group of journalists and doctors. In 1999, MSF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of its pioneering humanitarian work around the world. Today, MSF is a worldwide movement of more than 42,000 people.
This evening we will hear a personal account of the experiences of Dr. Solveig Gross during her deployment in Pakistan. Dr. Gross studied medicine at the the university of Munich (LMU) and has been practicing gynecology for 18 years. She has worked with MSF for 4 years.
