Since 2019 AGBC Munich has been supporting the BAA in annually awarding AGBC Travel Grants to graduate students in support of their fellowship studies/theses on topics related to the United States or transatlantic relations, areas of focus where travel abroad is essential.

On this evening, three BAA fellowship alumni will provide key insights into their own experiences, speak about the research they have conducted and the value of going abroad, as well as the impact of the fellowship on their further careers. All are recipients of the AGBC Travel Grants which have enabled them, as emerging scholars, to conduct their research in the United States. The discussion will be moderated by Constanze Sabathil, President of AGBC Munich, and Volker Depkat, Board Member of the BAA and Professor of American Studies at the University of Regensburg.
