Hydrogen is one of today’s big topics. With the influences of the climate change debate and the shutdown of gas from Russia, the world is looking for alternatives and hydrogen is on everyone’s lips. But what is going on? Why hydrogen? Why now? What are the risks? How will this affect us? How will this affect industry? Who is driving innovation and why now?

Please join our AGBC Munich meeting on 22nd February and get some answers!

When we started to pull this talk together a couple of months ago, we thought this would be an interesting talk about how we will all be using hydrogen in our homes and in our cars instead of traditional fuels. But this is just scratching the surface. It really is the tip of the iceberg!

On Feb 22nd, we will be having a panel discussion with 3 leading experts on Hydrogen who will enlighten us all as to what is below sea-level in this iceberg.

Our expert panelists are:

Günther Weber – Partner and CTO of deep innovation GmbH and member of the Supervisory Board of hydrogen rise AG. With its technology consultancy base, deep innovation focuses on disruptive technologies, technology-drive transformation, and the related business implications.
Günther has had a leading role in research and innovation, starting in 1992 at Mannesmann Pilotentwicklung which became the German center of Vodafone Group R&D. He holds Degrees from the Technical University in Munich (Dipl. Ing. Communications) and the University of California in Davis (MSEE in Computer Science) and several patents. In addition, he has honorary memberships – Chairman ITS Nationals, Board member ITS Bavaria e.V., Board member ITS Germany e.V, and Member VDE.

Dr. Uwe Albrecht – CEO/Managing Director, Ludwig Bölkow Systemtechnik (LBST) https://en.lbst.de/ – a Munich based consulting firm for sustainable energy and mobility. LBST’s expertise covers the entire hydrogen value chain. Its rigorous system approach assures consideration of all relevant elements of a tightly networked system, providing its Customers a comprehensive and complete basis for their decisions.
Dr. Albrecht joined LBST in 2008 from Siemens Venture Capital, where he was a Managing Partner, supporting the corporate growth strategy of Siemens AG with international investments in innovative startup companies in the energy and industry sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Washington, Seattle, a Physics Diploma from Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, and a Ph.D. (summa cum laude) in Physics from Universität Konstanz.

Dr. Ing. Bernd Wiemann is CEO of hydrogen rise AG (https://hydrogenrise.com/), which he co-founded in 2018.
