4 Questions  to Helkyn Coello Costa

Helkyn joined AGBC Munich in August 2026.

Q1: Tell us about yourself – how long have you been in Munich, what brought you here and what industry are you in?

I moved to Munich two years ago with my family, after living for 7 years at Lake Como in Italy. We were looking for a new life in a new country and a new city and that’s when Munich came up at the top of the list.

I’m originally from Peru, and most of my career has been in enterprise software — twenty-five years with the same US company, AccountTECH, where I’m now Chief AI Officer.  I also now run a AI consulting practice, Unlocked Consulting.

Q2: How did you learn about AGBC, what was your reason for becoming a member and why would you recommend others to join?

Through Larry. I didn’t know anyone in Munich when I arrived and I wanted a circle where I could meet like-minded people — networking, but also just good conversations about different cultures and ideas. That’s what I enjoy, and it’s why I’d recommend it to others.

Q3: If you could choose one of the next AGBC event topics, what would it be?

Honestly, I like that the topics vary. Tech and AI are what I work with, so those are always interesting to me, but some of the best evenings have nothing to do with my field. I’d rather keep the mix than pick one direction.

Q4: What is your favorite spot/activity in Munich (or surroundings) and why?

Walking, running or cycling along the Isar — there are endless paths there. And hiking in the Bavarian Alps when I have more time. Both relax me.

Thank you, Helkyn!
