Artificial Intelligence is touching us all – some more than most. There are enough events talking about the capabilities of AI, but this one is different. We are taking a deep dive into the impact of AI – on our mental health, on the environment, on the workplace, and more. And what do we need to do to educate our children about how to live with AI. This is a debate about what our world will look like and how we can prepare.
We have a line-up of expert speakers who will talk to these aspects – a kind of “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” of AI.

Elisabeth Schlag-Lawrence
Elisabeth is a senior transformation executive and Managing Partner at CatalystProcurement, Munich. With 35+ years of corporate leadership, Elisabeth has driven large-scale enterprise transformations across Life Sciences, Manufacturing, FMCG, Media, and Consulting. She is a Munich native who spent 20+ years building senior leadership roles across the USA, Asia, and the Middle East.
Elisabeth specializes in transformation advisory, change enablement, and executive coaching—particularly for leaders navigating rapid transition and integrating AI into their organizations.
John Barker
John joins Bavarian International School from August 2026 as the new Head of School. He began his international teaching career in 2000 and has lived, taught and led schools in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Denmark, China and Germany. He is an experienced International Baccalaureate MYP and DP teacher of Literature, Language and Literature, and Theory of Knowledge. Impactful and innovative teaching and learning has and will always be his passion. John knows BIS well, having previously served here as Secondary Principal and Deputy Director. After five successful years as Director of the International School Hannover Region, he is thrilled to return to Bavaria to lead BIS into the next exciting phase of its development.
Rainer Karcher
Rainer is the founder and managing director of Heartprint GmbH.
As the “Robin Hood” of sustainability, he now wants to make his many years of experience in large corporations accessible to medium-sized companies and help them to successfully master the transformation to digitalization and sustainability in a solution-oriented and equal manner.
In addition, he is Chief Sustainability Officer of SustainableIT.org, a global non-governmental organization with currently more than 100 member companies that has set itself the goal of defining standards for sustainable IT and making them available as open source.
Rainer was the Chief Sustainability and Human Rights Officer of Allianz Technology from October 2022 to June 2024. He ensured that sustainability, human rights and digital inclusion were integrated into all IT services and products and supported Allianz in achieving its ambitious goals for a sustainable future.
Warren Carley
Warren is the Vertical Principal for Telematics (Connected Vehicles) at LexisNexis Risk Solutions (LNRS), a data analytics business serving the automotive, financial and insurance markets globally. Warren is a leading member of the LNRS AI innovation team which drives internal education and use of AI both within the workplace and as a tool for product evolution and innovation.
Warren’s career spans three decades of international product leadership and market strategy, with senior roles at venture-backed technology firms across Europe, the US, and Asia.
