4 Questions to Sylvia Raster

Sylvia joined AGBC Munich in 2024.

Q1: Since when do you live in/around Munich? What brought you here and what is your business?

I was born and raised in Munich and studied Law at Munich Ludwig-Maximilians-University.

Today I´m Partner in the Executive Search business with a solid track record in placing Senior and Top Executives in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, automation, Semiconductors, MedTech and Mechanical Engineering.

Q2: How did you learn about AGBC, what was your reason to become a member and why would you recommend to join?

Simply enough I learned about AGBC via net research. I was looking for a community in Munich where I can meet and exchange with people coming from different professional fields and learn about their perspectives on various social and economical aspects. Since I myself have lived and worked in the U.S. for over two years, of course, I was instantly attracted by the AGBC, but not only for that but also by the very good combination of professional and social events.

Q3: If you could choose one of the next AGBC event topics, what would it be?

I would appreciate a topic such as the American and German approach to female leadership .

Q4: What is your favorite spot/activity in Munich (or surroundings) and why?

In summer I love the special atmosphere in our Munich Beergardens (e.g. Augustiner near main station), all year round I very much enjoy the cultural offerings in Munich holding an opera house subscription and also regularly visiting our excellent museums (e.g. Pinakotheken, Egyptian Museum, MUCA, Glyptothek, Museum Five Continents, Archeological Museum etc.)
