4 Questions  to Sebastian Wrobel

Beinur joined AGBC Munich in August 2023.

Q1: Since when do you live in/around Munich? What brought you here and what is your business?

I came to Munich in the late 90s. I fell in love with Munich during my apprenticeship, and a job offer from Siemens finally brought me here. I am running a consultancy software integration company specializing in B2B sales, price & revenue optimization – we focus on industrial manufacturing, distribution, and the automotive industry. Additionally, I offer interim services, keynotes, and negotiation training programs.

Q2: How did you learn about AGBC, what was your reason to become a member and why would you recommend to join?

I got to know AGBC at the Charity Golf Tournament. Peter, you Andrea, and Constanze raised my curiosity. As I am interested in people, different cultures, expanding business networks, and making an impact, it was a no-brainer to join AGBC.

Q3: If you could choose one of the next AGBC event topics, what would it be?

I would be interested in topics like:
Topics I’d be excited to explore include:

  1. A book “fair” evening – where members share their favorite reads, exchange books, and perhaps enjoy a live reading by an author. A great way to connect through stories and ideas.
  2. Democracy at risk in the US & Europe – a deep dive into current challenges, possible resolutions, and the outlook for democratic institutions on both sides of the Atlantic.
  3. AI & data privacy – exploring the risks and opportunities of artificial intelligence, with a systemic comparison of how the US and Europe approach regulation, ethics, and innovation.

Q4: What is your favorite spot/activity in Munich (or surroundings) and why?

Munich highlights: One of my favorite spots to unwind is the Rosengarten by the Isar – perfect for soaking in a peaceful atmosphere. I also love the café at the Glyptothek for its unique blend of art and serenity. And if you’re looking for a quiet escape, the garden at the Lenbachhaus is ideal for spending a few hours with a good book.

Beyond the city, Staffelsee, Fraueninsel on Chiemsee, and the Osterseen are my go-to places for swimming, stand-up paddling, and reconnecting with nature.

These spots remind me how much beauty is just around the corner – whether you’re looking for inspiration, calm, or a bit of adventure.

Thank you, Sebastian!
