4 Questions to Tara Nicoll
Tara joined AGBC Munich in August 2016.
Q1: Since when do you live in/around Munich? What brought you here and what is your business?
I first came as an Rotary Exchange student in 1994 but moved back permanently in August 2001.
Currently, I’m working for the British Standards Institute Group Germany GmbH, which is a notified body for ISO standards as a Business Development Manager in the DACH region. My main responsibility is organizing educational solutions for companies whose staff require qualified training(s) according to the ISO Norms in various fields from sustainability, information and cyber security, AI, medical devices, etc.
Furthermore, I’m happy to facilitate system or product certification for these ISO norms as well. Happy to hold a conversation about your current needs and future requirements
Q2: How did you learn about AGBC, what was your reason to become a member and why would you recommend to join?
Audra Shanley. It is extremely important to network and see who and what is out there, especially how we, as a professional community with our varied backgrounds can help each other.
Q3: If you could choose one of the next AGBC event topics, what would it be?
Continue with AI, Information Security and cyber security education, e.g., acknowledged certified courses (not masterclasses) as there is so much around it and a lot of confusion, which leads to misinformation.
Q4: What is your favorite spot/activity in Munich (or surroundings) and why?
Diana Pagoda in the Residenz garden. Lovely gardens with it as the centre point, the fact it’s made out of seashells which one doesn’t easily find in Bavaria and the fact one often can experience free concerts.
Thank you, Tara!
