4 Questions to Klemen Kocic
Klemen joined AGBC Munich in August 2025.
Q1: Since when do you live in/around Munich? What brought you here and what is your business?
I’m originally from Slovenia and moved to Munich in January 2025. Before that, I lived in Slovenia, Korea, Sweden, Spain, and Portugal. Until mid-2024, I worked as a programmer and project manager. However, I realized I wanted to make a more direct and meaningful impact—helping people with their health one-on-one.
Sports have always been a big part of my life, from basketball and skiing to martial arts and weightlifting. That passion led me to Berlin, where I found a gym that truly focused on individualized care. There, I met Alex, and together I later moved to Munich, where together we are now starting a health venture which includes our core belief of resistance training as well as nutrition and lifestyle knowledge.
Our vision is simple but powerful: to make a real difference in people’s health across all ages and lifestyles. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients—from teenagers to retirees, from beginners to professionals, from students to CEOs—and have pursued additional certifications and education to continuously deepen my knowledge.
Q2: How did you learn about AGBC, what was your reason to become a member and why would you recommend to join?
When I moved to Munich to join the New Health Society, one of my top priorities was finding the right community. We were searching for groups that embraced a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial spirit—filled with people eager to grow and support one another.
By chance, we came across AGBC, and it quickly became clear that we had found something special. The network is full of experienced professionals from diverse industries who are genuinely willing to help, connect, and share insights.
If you’re looking to surround yourself with driven, open-minded individuals in Munich, I highly recommend joining AGBC. It’s a great place to learn, contribute, and grow—both personally and professionally.
Q3: If you could choose one of the next AGBC event topics, what would it be?
I would choose health. It’s a topic that affects every one of us and is becoming increasingly important in today’s fast-paced world. People are starting to recognize that it’s much better to invest in consistent, preventative habits than to wait until symptoms or chronic issues appear.
That’s a core message I share with my clients: small, consistent actions lead to meaningful change. It’s not about pushing yourself to extremes—it’s about being reasonable, listening to your body, and making sustainable progress.
I believe that today, personal training studios are evolving into the modern-day “first stop” for health. Many health issues—like recurring headaches, low energy, or poor sleep—stem from lifestyle factors. Instead of visiting the doctor after the fact, more people are turning to health centers where we measure key indicators like body fat, muscle mass, sleep quality, and blood markers, and then build actionable, personalized plans.
Q4: What is your favorite spot/activity in Munich (or surroundings) and why?
The Alps. Growing up close to the Alps of Slovenia, I’ve always felt a deep connection to nature—and for me nothing compares to the energy of the mountains. One of the main reasons I chose Munich was its proximity to the Alps. As much as I enjoy the beach, I truly believe there’s no better getaway than a ski trip.
Thank you, Klemen!
