 iness Council Munich (IBCM) Event at the Marriott Hotel in north Schwabin
 g on Wednesday\, 5th December.  The event will feature an enlightening 
 discussion led by Keynote Speaker Prof. Dr. Gabriel Felbermayr\, one of Ge
 rmany’s top global trade experts\, who will address the present Global a
 nd Transatlantic Trade situations\n\nWith his deep experience and top-leve
 l contacts on international trade and economics\, Prof Dr. Felbermayr wil
 l provide us an illuminating overview of the current transatlantic and glo
 bal trade situations.\n\n 	What is the current status in Europe and especi
 ally Germany on the transatlantic tariff discussions?  Are the real balan
 ce of trade issues properly perceived?\n 	What effects are the US tariff i
 nitiatives having on Europe's trade with the rest of the world?\n 	How are

 unds of political discussions on trade and looming tariff aspects\, this i

 llowing session of Q&amp\;A.\n\nProf. Gabriel Felbermayr\, PhD\, was born 
 in Steyr\, Austria.  After his studies in Economics and Trade at the Univ
 ersity of Linz\, he went to Florence\, Italy\, for his doctoral studies an
 d to Tübingen\, Germany\, for his habilitation. Since 2011\, he holds bot
 h a position as Director International Economics at the Ifo Institute and 
 as Professor of Economics\, esp. International Economics\, at the Departme
 nt of Economics of Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He has recentl
 y been named as the future (March 2019) President\, Kiel Institute for the
  World Economy (ifW - https://www.ifw-kiel.de). Before joining the Ifo Ins
 titute\, he was Professor at the University of Hohenheim (near Stuttgart\,
  Germany (2009-2011))\, Assistant Professor at the University of Tübingen
 \, Germany (2005-2009)\, and worked as an Associate Consultant for McKinse
 y &amp\; Co. in Vienna\, Austria (2004-2005)\, and was an Assistant Profes
 sor at the Institute for Economics at Johannes Kepler University of Linz\,
  Austria.\n\nGabriel Felbermayr has various roles and positions. The most 
 important are: Member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Feder
 al Ministry of Economics and Energy\, Associate Editor European Economic R
 eview\; Associate Editor\, International Review of Economics and Finance\;
  Scientific Advisory Board\, Institute for Applied Economic Research\, Tü
 bingen\; External Research Fellow\, Leverhulme Centre for Research on Glob
 alization and Economic Policy (GEP)\, University of Nottingham. For his re
 search\, Felbermayr was awarded several prizes. His research deals with in
 ternational trade agreements\, trade and labor market outcomes\, trade and
