The Volkssternwarte is a hidden gem in the city of Munich\, a place where the public can go to learn about astronomy\, to explore the heavens in the p lanetarium\, or to observe the night sky with the range of telescopes on t he roof of the Volkssternwarte.\n\nThe evening will start with a general o verview of the Volkssternwarte led by VSW member Paul Salazar and the VSW Team.\n\nAt aroumd 1930\, we will split into 3 groups\, and each group can choose to attend two of the three featured 30-minute activities:\n\n1 -  Planetarium for planetarium show by VSW Team\n\n2 - Exhibition Room for general astronomy talk (asteroids\, planets\, solar system\, etc) by VSW Team\n\n3 - Lecture Hall for Solar Eclipse lecture by Paul Salazar (who is a veteran Solar Eclipse Chaser)\n\nThe late winter / early spring sky is filled with treasures such as Orion\, Taurus\, Canis Major\, Gemini\, L eo\, and a wide spectrum of very bright and colorful stars\, plus special treats such as the Orion Nebula and the Pleiades. And there will be a firs t quarter Moon and the bright planet Venus to highlight the night sky.\n\n If the weather does not cooperate\, we will move downstairs at 2030 where Paul will provide a spontaneous discussion on Mars or another topic.\n\nCo nditions of Cancelation: Please note that your registration and payment ar e considered binding. There are major renovations and the courtyard from Rosenheimer Straße i s closed. It is only reachable via the Nordfassade.\n\nIf you drive there or arrive by bus or U-Bahn\, you should enter on Anzinger Straße 13.
